About the event: The Conference is a vital initiative aimed at addressing the ongoing gender gap in these industries. Although women make up a significant portion of the workforce, they remain underrepresented in leadership roles—both globally and in South Africa.
Internationally, women account for 41% of the supply chain workforce, yet only 23% hold senior leadership roles. In South Africa, women represent just 28% of the logistics and transport workforce. This imbalance not only limits career advancement for women, but also constrains the sector’s growth and innovation.
